Above The Bay is a brand new Golf Course Wedding Venue in Falmouth, Cornwall

I recently got the opportunity to photograph a brand new venue in Falmouth, Cornwall – Above The Bay. It is so beautiful. Set in Falmouth golf course, it has it all, gorgeous rolling hills, jaw dropping coastal views and a blank canvas. Yes you heard me right this venue is basically yours to unleash your wedding creativity. Picture this – gorgeous views with your ideal wedding decor. The dream!

After having the opportunity to do my first styled shoot at Pentillie Castle. I was super keen to do another one and the opportunity came to me at the right time. Above The Bay reached out to me and asked to photograph a styled wedding ready for their grand wedding opening. So you guessed it I leapt at this chance to photograph this styled wedding.

You’re probably sat right there thinking what on earth is a ‘Styled Wedding.’ At first I had no idea what one is. But basically you liaise with local suppliers, at a particular venue, to create a mock wedding that has the aesthetics you love.

I just love being able to do a styled wedding shoot. It allows me to experiment with my creativity whilst still getting amazing photos without having too many time constraints.

This photoshoot for Above The Bay is a styled wedding shoot so you can get a feel for what can be done at and with this venue. Have you got any thoughts about what you might do at this wedding venue?

Oh yes did I mention you can get to the local beach in less than five minuets! Maybe you could take a dip in the sea. What more could you really want?

HOW TO GET THERE –

Above The Bay is located at – Falmouth Golf Course, Swanpool Rd, Falmouth TR11 5PR

By Car -If you’re coming via Truro, Cornwall head on the A39 and follow signs towards Falmouth. At Carnon Downs Roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A39. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A39. At Treluswell Roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A39. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A39. Continue on A39. Take Bickland Water Rd to Swanpool Rd in Falmouth. 

At Treliever Roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on A39. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Union Rd. At the roundabout, continue straight onto Union Corner. Continue onto Bickland Hill. After 0.1 miles turn left to stay on Bickland Hill. Continue onto Bickland Water Rd and go through 1 roundabout. After 1.2 miles turn left onto Swanpool Rd and the destination will be on your right.

By Train – Coming from Truro, Cornwall head for either Penmere or Falmouth Docks train station. From there it’s best to get a pre booked taxi unless you fancy a few miles walk. A good local taxi company is Abacus taxis – 01326 212141
