The Pear Tree Purton Wedding: The Special Wedding Day Of Jade & Callum

Could a Pear Tree in Purton Wedding Be For You?
Looking for a wedding venue that’s got a bit of everything? From beautiful gardens, the quaint Cotswolds-style wedding venue, and a peaceful countryside feel? The Pear Tree in Purton wedding might just be the one.
Set in the village of Purton in Wiltshire, The Pear Tree is a former vicarage with over 400 years of history. These days, it’s a purpose-built wedding venue that’s been designed with couples in mind. You’ve got the space, the style, and all the little details that make the day feel easy—from getting ready in the Cascade room to dancing the night away in the Bartlett bar.
There’s a vineyard out the back (yes, really) just on from your outdoor ceremony area, a glass-walled Orangery for your wedding breakfast, and a ceremony room called The Blossom that’s full of natural light. The gardens are perfect for a stroll with a drink in hand, and come golden hour, it’s pure magic.
If you’re planning a wedding in Wiltshire or want something that’s tucked away but still easy for guests coming from London, Bristol or beyond. Then The Pear Tree in Purton is definitely worth a look. It’s relaxed, elegant, and set up so you can focus on the good stuff: getting married, being with your people, and soaking all the special memories in.
And I’m here to help you relive all of those beautiful, real, heartfelt memories as your wedding photographer
Behind The Scenes Of The Pear Tree Purton Wedding
It was an early morning start, and as I drove through the Wiltshire countryside, I was ready to photograph and film this amazing wedding. Quietly buzzing me and my videographer; ready to capture something truly special. Nearly there; we almost missed the entrance (keep your eyes peeled for the turn-in!), but as soon as we pulled up the drive, I was completely taken aback. Standing in front of us was the incredible Pear Tree in Purton; a Cotswolds-style wedding venue full of character and charm. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to start photographing the second you step out of the car.
From the very beginning, there were moments happening everywhere. Big ones, small ones, real, beautiful, heartfelt memories. The kind that you know will mean even more in years to come. It was so hard to pick out one special moment that stood out to me as their wedding photographer, but here are a few moments that were so special. The small things really stood out to me, from the moments where loved ones saw them for the first time to seeing each other as Jade walked down the aisle to the most amazing first dance on clouds.
This Pear Tree in Purton wedding was one of those days that reminded me why I love what I do. I can’t wait for the next wedding at The Pear Tree in Purton.

A Few Words From Jade & Callum About Their Pear Tree Purton Wedding
Tell Me about The Beginning
This isn’t your typical story, myself and Callum originally met whilst working together. Although you might not say it was love at first sight, I actually thought he was a bit arrogant… it didn’t take me long to realise that the arrogance was all a front and he was mysterious and maybe a little misunderstood. I had a partner but was unhappy, and one day Callum asked me why I’m still with him if I’m unhappy? A question, believe it or not, I’ve never asked myself! So I took a leap and ended it.
Ready to rediscover myself but actually realised that the thing I was always looking for was right there. 3 days later we kissed, 3 weeks you know… 3 months later we were in a relationship (some information may seem like too much; however, it fits our story). 3 years later we were engaged, 3 years after the engagement we were married, and 3 weeks after the wedding we found out we’re starting a family. We aren’t sure why the number three but everything somehow falls on a three. Lucky number?
When and Where did you get engaged?
So originally, my plans to propose were very elaborate and consisted of a nice, lavish holiday. This soon changed, however, due to Covid! I thought on my feet and organised a photographer and took myself and Jade to a local manor house. I then had him ask if he could photograph us; we obliged. She stood away from me I proposed, and luckily. She said yes!! I had a campervan decked out with fairy lights, white drapes and 4 different bouquets (edible, real flower, dried flower and a balloon bouquet) all laid out by my amazing father and his wife, including champagne; the full works!
What theme have you chosen for your wedding?
Simplistic, elegance, sage green and white! To summarise ‘a less is more vibe’
What was your personal highlight from the day?
The personal highlight for both of us was the very last song of the night was our wedding song, ‘Iris’ by the goo goo dolls! Everyone came together and sang and danced! This was not planned but was honestly the most perfect end to our day!
Top Tips
Give yourselves plenty of time to save and organise! We were planning for 3 years, and this allowed us to plan over the years, which made the process enjoyable and not stressful! Although wedding planning can be a stressful time, we believe that having time on our side really made it more exciting, and we could pay more attention to detail! The little things really do matter!
And the biggest advice for the day itself – stay with your partner so every moment you experience, you experienced together and can reflect together! Also, what’s a wedding without a little drama? But hopefully you’re lucky to avoid this, but if not, just ignore it and let someone else deal with it! You won’t get the day back again!
