Newquay Surfing Engagement Photo Shoot
The sunset on the north coast of Cornwall is something special to watch even on a not-so-nice day. But this wasn’t one of them. There were a few clouds in the sky, but lots of sunshine and blue sky too. Near enough the perfect engagement photo shoot weather in Cornwall. This engagement photo shoot was going to be a little different from my normal ones; they wanted to have some surfing photos as this was special to them, and I thought why not?
After all, Newquay is renound for its surfing. We started off walking to the far end of Newquay Beach towards the beautiful rocky cliff face, home to lots of caves, and then made our way back over the wet sand that looked just like a mirror. As the sun began to cast a golden glow, the happy couple jumped into their wetsuits, grabbed their surfboards, and off into the cold, wavey water.

Newquay Beach (Towan Beach specifically) is quite a sheltered beach and perfect for surfers of all abilities. At low tide this beach goes on for miles, but at high tide it can come right in. But don’t worry if this happens. Head on into Newquay town to have some fun, find a good pub, or if you fancy a spot of sightseeing.
