The Polurrian On The Lizard is set on the dramatic coastal clifftops, surrounded by tranquil blue waters and even its own small beach down a dirt track (which you can get to on a fantastic electric buggy). It’s located in the picturesque village of Mullion. People quite often venture here to see the pretty harbour, to walk along the jaw-dropping coast path, or to take a perch on ‘Love Rock’ and watch the world go by. First built in 1890, The Polurrian On The Lizard has been host to a number of famous people, from Winston Churchill to Marconi.
Have you been to Mullion before? Mullion is one of Cornwall’s most beautiful and dramatic harbour villages, full of charm and lots of coastal paths to explore. It even has its own chocolate factory. Definitely worth a pop in. On a sunny or stormy day it is quite easy to get lost in a world of beauty.

Behind The Scenes Of The Mullion Wedding
A storm is brewing!
October is here, the forecasts are in, and, well, what can I say, but a storm is on its way. Storm season has arrived in Cornwall. Strong winds and rain batter the coast leading up to the Mullion wedding celebration of Lou & Alex.
Not all hope was lost. The morning rose with beautiful golden sunshine and a mighty strong wind. But that wasn’t going to put a dampener on anyone’s spirits. The perfect stormy outlook had been created. And I was ready to capture the amazing wedding in all its windy glory. Swords were drawn and veils flew, but I’ll let the pictures tell you the rest.
This weather is exactly why I fell in love with being a Cornwall wedding photographer. You never know what to expect, so prepare for every occasion.
Those Perfect Moments

A Few Words From Alex & Lou About Their Mullion Wedding
Tell me about your The Beginning!
We met online! The boring way! That was 9 years ago! We lived quite far away from each other.
When and where did you get engaged?
We got engaged in Mexico in January 2024 on our first morning of the holiday! My shoes had washed away in the sea, so I had gone in to catch them, and when I came out, I had wet trousers. Alex got down to look at them and quickly offered up a ring instead! I inadvertently gave him the best excuse to get down on one knee!
I promptly asked if he was being serious before I said yes!
What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?
We have gone for autumnal colours and candles! Lots of light and colour!
What are you most looking forward to on the day?
All of it! But finally saying the ‘I dos’ before having the best day with all our family and friends!

Organisation is key! Do things early! You won’t regret it! As you get closer the stress won’t be there as you will already be ahead of the game! 🙂
