Chloe & Stephen’s Kennall Vale Engagement Photo Shoot
Autumn was in the air on this crisp morning in Cornwall. The leaves had started to turn a vibrant orange, and a cold crispness grassped the air. But lucky for us, the sun shone brightly, piercing through the wooded canopy, creating beautiful patches of speckled light. Chloe and Stephen chose to celebrate their engagement with an amazing engagement photo shoot at Kennall Vale. A hidden treasure not far from Falmouth. But I’ll tell you a little bit more about Kennal Vale in a minute.
Taking in the vibrant autumn tones, we wondered through the beautiful woodlands to the sound of trickling water. Heading down the path, you pass the old gunpowder works that have now been reclaimed by nature. The buildings are covered in thick green moss and ivy. But at the heart of this place is a beautiful waterfall that cascades through great big boulders and man-made pools. Throughout the walk we stopped to enjoy the sites and make sure we got lots of amazing photos in this beautiful setting.

Tucked away in Ponsanooth, Cornwall. Kennall Vale can be quite hard to find but definitely worth an exploration. In the woodland you’ll find lots of hidden paths twisting and turning around a waterfall/cascade and old gunpowder works that have now been reclaimed by nature. Lots of the buildings have now become covered in a thick moss or covering of ivy. This rich habitat is also abundant in wildlife, from Dippers to Robins. Any nature lover will love it here.
