I recently had the opportunity to take my camera to a wedding set up at Tregedna. Organised by the wonderful wedding owner, Liz. The set-up consisted of lots of wonderful suppliers – all the details of the suppliers are listed below. The wonderful suppliers ranged from decor hire, various table arrangements and, of course, the fabulous venue.

Imagine this – a rustic, quaint, intimate barn located in the middle of the Cornish countryside. You are greeted by the wonderful Liz; her love for the venue is out of this world and is ready to make your day extra special. The rustic, quaint barn is ready to be personalised to your love story. Are you thinking glitz and glam or a bit more low key? You can have your wedding style here!

Not only is the venue absolutely stunning and situated amongst gorgeous Cornish countryside, you are only a stones throw away from the beach. Literally, it’s that close. You can get it all. Picture this – you’re having your wedding at Tregenda. You’ve had the ceremony with your dream theme; the tables are laid and food is fast approaching. We pop out for a quick wedding portrait session around the ground, and YES to the BEACH. This is your time to unwind and take in your whole day. A little bit of peaceful time with your two together that you can treasure.

My little bit of advice is to set aside time for your couples portraits close to sunset. The golden glow around this time can add so much beauty and depth to your images.

How do you get here

Tregedna is located at – Maenporth, Falmouth TR11 5HL

By Car – If you’re coming via Truro, Cornwall head on the A39 and follow signs towards Falmouth. At Treliever Roundabout, take the first exit and stay on A39 and stay on for a couple of miles. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Union Road. Continue onto Bickland Hill. Turn left to stay on Bickland Hill. Continue onto Bickland Water Road. Bickland Water Rd turns slightly left and becomes Pennance Hill. Continue onto Maenporth Road for 0.3 miles and take a sharp right. Yo’ve made it!

By Train – Coming from Truro, Cornwall head for either Penmere or Falmouth Docks train station. From there it’s best to get a pre booked taxi unless you fancy a few miles walk. A good local taxi company is Abacus taxis – 01326 212141
