Beautiful Sea View Wedding At The Polurrian On The Lizard

September 26, 2022

Where do I start with this gorgeous intimate wedding at the Polurrian On The Lizard? What a venue for a special day! If you’re after a wedding that is by the sea has some of the most spectacular views and the most amazing staff look no further than the Polurrian. The sun rise bought a mist of rain on Saturday swarming the Cornish coast in a wet blanket, but don’t worry this soon blew over. Plus it’s good luck to have rain on your wedding day. The sun soon shone brighter than ever bringing with it a beautiful warm feeling, as though summer had never left. The gorgeous sea like blue colour scheme was a beautiful touch that showed everyone how much attention to detail this couple went for. What a day it was at the Polurrian On The Lizard celebrating Mike & Hollie’s Wedding.

It’s nearly time to let the photos do the talking. The photos can say so much more about this wedding than I can put into words. But first let’s touch on a few details about the Polurrian.

A little bit about The Polurrian –

The Polurrian is set on the dramatic coastal cliff tops surround by tranquil blue waters and even its own small beach down a dirt track. It’s located the picturesque village of Mullion. People quite often venture here to see the pretty harbour, to walk along the jaw dropping coast path, or to take a perch on ‘Love Rock’ and watch the world go by. First built in 1890 The Polurrian has been host to a number of famous people from Winston Churchill to Marconi. The Polurrian is a wedding venue not to be missed.

I’ll now pass you over to Mike & Hollie to give you an insight into their intimate wedding at Polurrian On The Lizard …

Tell Me About The Beginning –

As most people have probably done these days, we met online. Our first couple of dates involved the usual bowling and going out for food. But as Hollie’s birthday was quite close to when we started dating, to try and make an impression, even though I hadn’t known her for long, I arrived at her house with some flowers and some chocolates before taking her to the Dr Who experience in Cardiff of which she was a big fan of and after spending the day together the rest is history.

When and Where Did You Get Engaged?

In an attempt to be really thoughtful, we were planning a big holiday to Iceland and one of the trips involved seeing the Northern lights. I had planned to do it there but unfortunately Covid hit and our holiday got cancelled. Still wanting to have the same effect we then booked a holiday in Cornwall where I planned to visit a national darkspot where I was then going to propose. Unfortunately covid again got in the way and England and Wales went into separate lockdowns meaning we couldn’t cross the border. A last minute booking up to the Brecon Beacons, to where a national dark spot was I managed to finally drum up the courage and propose to her under a starry sky.

What Style/Theme Have You Gone For Your Wedding?

We’ve gone for quite a relaxed, non traditional style wedding with a few nerdy touches added here and there
